What we ask of you.

  1. A signed retreat addendum: the house rules plus these retreat terms.
  2. Proof of general liability insurance for the retreat, naming Outlandia, LLC as additional insured.
  3. The full guest list before arrival. Everyone on it stays overnight, within the house's sleeps count.
  4. A guest of record, 25 or older, there for the whole stay.
  5. Your own waivers with your attendees for the practice you lead.

House rules

  • Registered overnight guests only: no drop-ins, day guests, or visitors
  • No parties or events
  • The Overhang: quiet hours from 9 PM to 8 AM
  • The Ravines: no loud music at any time, and noise down after 9 PM
  • No smoking and no pets
  • No one 12 or under in the sauna

Good to know

Questions leaders ask.

Can people join for a day or a single class?

No. Everyone at a retreat is a registered overnight guest, within the house's sleeps count. It's a group stay, not an event.

Is there a bed for everyone?

Every bedroom has one king bed: four at The Overhang and five at The Ravines, plus a queen sofa bed in each house, upstairs where The Overhang's great room is and in The Ravines' living room. Groups who share, like couples and friends, fill the house. If everyone wants a room of their own, plan on four guests at The Overhang and five at The Ravines.

Can we move the furniture for practice?

Yes. Move what you need and put it back before check-out.

What about meals?

Your group cooks in the house. The Overhang has a chef's kitchen with an oversized island, a kitchenette, and a coffee bar. The Ravines has a fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso, French press, and pour-over.

How far is it?

The Overhang is about 2 hours from Chicago, and The Ravines is under 2 hours from Chicago. Both are under 2 hours from O'Hare.
